Any Aspiring Film Makers?

Want to win $2500 for college (or whatever)?

The ELCA is sponsoring a video contest with the theme, "God's Work, Our Hands," which you may have noticed is the tagline on the ELCA logo. Your video should be 30-90 seconds long.

Sound interesting? Click here for more details.

Service Opportunity

Hello, again!

This past Monday at the council meeting, it was mentioned that our mowing teams are starting to get a little short on people. If they have enough people, the commitment is pretty small - a few hours one Saturday morning a month. It's an easy way to provide an important service to our congregation.

If you are interested in serving on a mowning team, e-mail me and I'll pass on your information.

Peace,
Sheryl

Summer at St. Paul

Hey, Gang!

I know things have been dead with youth group the past few summers. We're going to work on that this year. I planned a couple things, but if y'all want to make some suggestions, please do.

College students and young adults: The text in this update only mentions junior and senior high youth, but you are welcome to join us, too! Just e-mail me to let me know you are coming so I can plan for you!

Come join us for a summer of fun activities sponsored by St. Paul, and help us prepare to kick off our reborn youth ministry! We want all of our high school and junior high youth to come out for these events—and bring your friends! These summer nights are all about fun and fellowship, and the more the merrier!

All activities have a fee associated with them (though St. Paul is underwriting part of the cost), but don’t let money stop you or your friends from coming. We do having funding available to help anyone whose family is having financial difficulty. Contact Sheryl confidentially for information.

RSVP for any or all of these events by e-mailing me. I'll send you a permission form which should be turned in with your money. Money will be due by the RSVP date unless you make other arrangements with Sheryl. You are on your own for transportation, unless you call Sheryl if you need help.

CHAPERONES ARE NEEDED! E-MAIL SHERYL IF YOU WANT TO HELP!

We're Live on the Web!

Hey, all!

Well, this is new.

I don't know about y'all, but I have become such a computer/web-oriented person that I tend to lose anything paper that I'm handed. But if I have a website I can go to, I can keep track of anything.

While St. Paul's website undergoes some changes, all upcoming youth and young adult activities will be posted here. If you have any exciting news you want to share, any ideas, or anything else you want to share with the folks at St. Paul, e-mail me and I'll post them. I promise the appearance of this blog won't always be so boring - I just need to find time to work on it.

To make things easier to find, I'll be tagging every entry. The tags appear in a list over there ==>>. Just click on what you are looking for, and the little people who live inside the computer will take you there. (What do you mean...servers and modems? Don't destroy my imagination!)

Anyway....

Hope y'all find this helpful, and I hope you come out for some of our summer activities!

Peace and Grace,
Sheryl
